			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>In het 1e kwartaal van 2009 werd 38% van het marketingbudget aan dialoogmarketing (directe en interactieve marketing) besteed. Een stijging van ruim 15% ten opzichte van Q4 2008. Wellicht mede veroorzaakt omdat marketeers stellen dat het in tijden van recessie belangrijk is om anti-cyclisch te investeren. Dit zijn enkele opvallende uitkomsten van de laatste peiling van de DM Barometer: het kwartaalonderzoek naar bestedingen en trends in dialoogmarketing van DDMA, Adforesult en Mailmedia.</p>
<p>De bestedingen namen ten opzichte van Q4 2008 met ruim 15% toe. In vergelijking met Q1 2008 stegen de bestedingen met 5,6%. Marketeers besteedden het budget voornamelijk aan de eigen website (19%), (on)geadresseerd drukwerk (18%) en e-mail marketing (15%). Marketeers geven aan deze kanalen het meest effectief te vinden om bestaande klanten als prospects te benaderen. Ook telemarketing en search engine marketing worden als zeer effectief ervaren.<br />
Meer dan de helft van de marketeers (55%) verwacht dat de uitgaven aan dialoogmarketing door het Nederlands bedrijfsleven in 2009 hoger uitvallen dan in 2008. Daarentegen verwacht 20% dat de uitgaven dit jaar lager uitvallen. Tot slot stelt 25% van de respondenten dat er helemaal geen verandering in uitgaven optreedt.</p>
<p>Een vast onderdeel van de DM Barometer zijn drie stellingen waarover de marketeers hun mening geven. Een grote meerderheid (85%) is het eens met de stelling ‘Wil DM een toekomst hebben, dan is een transparant privacybeleid in elke organisatie onontbeerlijk&#8217;. Ook bij de stelling ‘In tijden van recessie moet de marketeer vooral anticyclisch investeren&#8217; geeft de meerderheid (73%) aan het hiermee eens te zijn. Daarentegen vindt men niet (73%) dat de resultaten van een crossmediale campagne te onduidelijk zijn om daar een substantieel deel van het budget voor te reserveren.</p>

Had a very pleasant and involving conversation with Tessa and shared the WiFi-password of P-King with her. I think we are &#8216;getting in business&#8217;, so The Next Speaker <a href="http://thenextspeaker.com/sprekers/wim-andrea/">will manage all my speaking and moderating gigs in the future</a>!</p>

They asked me because of the launch of <a title="iens recepten" href="http://www.iensrecepten.nl">iens recepten</a> off which I am co-founder. In a way this is curious: they ask people who are &#8216; in the news&#8217;  to blog a week. This blog will be input for an item in their Saturday-edition (print). So: they are asking people who are rather busy because of the things that are happening to blog on a daily basis. <p>Coming Tuesday (January 8th) Ronnie Overgoor and me will have Hans Hillen in PitchTalk (our weekly TV-talk on Het Gesprek). Hans is chairman of the Dutch Center for Brand and Communication and member of the Senate (Dutch Parliament). We will (try to) discuss the current status on restrictions on commercial communications that were brought up in 2007 and without a doubt will also show up in 2008. Advertising targeted at children should be banned. Commercials for loans, gambling games and paid phone lines (read: sex) should be banned&#8230; And so on. Whatever happened to Freedom of Commercial Speech? We will discuss this with Hans Hillen. I hope you will watch and please deliver input before coming Tuesday!</p>

<p>The new Dutch television (and online) broadcaster &#8216;<a href="http://www.hetgesprek.nl" target="_blank">Het Gesprek</a>&#8216; (&#8216;The Conversation&#8217;) is starting today! Last week we did our first gig that went very well. Tomorrow we are going live at 20.00 hour! Exiting. The format of the sender is to bring out 24&#215;7 talk-television. And because of the length of the programs more in-depth interviews should be  possible. The people behind Het Gesprek (HG) all earned their laureates in the genre: Ruud Hendriks, Frits Barend and Derk Sauer.<br />
Ronnie Overgoor transferred his <a href="http://www.pitchtalk.tv/" target="_blank">PitchTalk.TV</a> to Het Gesprek. He asked me to join him weekly for the &#8216;news of the week before&#8217;. Then the conversations with two guests start. The first shoot was really fun to do: three slightly nervous presenters (yes! stage freight&#8230;) a nice crew, Ruud Hendriks stopping by and encouraging everybody, and two very interesting talks (Boris Veldhuijzen van Zanten and Arjan Snijders). More to come!</p>

Even the reputed business schools often have relationships with few companies. These mainly include the bigger internationals that also hire the alumni of these schools.<br />
But now there is a very smart initiative that might change things: a website on which students put their papers up for bidding by companies. They often studied hard on subjects that are of interest for companies. The companies now also gain insight in what is out there for offering. The highest bidder gets the paper. The initiative Kennisveiling (Knowledge Auction) will be launched during to upcoming <a href="http://www.picnicnetwork.org/" target="_blank">Picnic-event</a> in Amsterdam (starting September 25th). I&#8217;ll keep you posted on the development. <a href="http://www.kennisveiling.nl" target="_blank">Their website</a> is not live yet.</p>

Afterwards the transplant would be arranged.<br />

<p>While everybody was condemning the show (ethical mainly) I was never under the impression that this was for real. I could not imagine that this kind of television actually was goiing to happen. I thought of the whole initiative as a rather creative way to raise awareness for the ongoing problem we have in The Netherlands when it comes to a shortage of organ donors. Despite numerous campaigns done by the government and several &#8216;good causes&#8217; during the years to alter this situation. None were successful. But now we had the whole country (and the world) talking about this topic. While the real issue was covered by the ethical discussion, I am sure that the common public is now more aware of the situation that ever before. In this respect the hoax can be regarded as a huge success. People actually were forced to really *think* about their point of view on being a donor or not. It is rather impossible now &#8211; after this hoax &#8211; to NOT have an opinion. Saying &#8220;I do not (yet) know&#8221; on the question &#8220;Are you going to be a donor?&#8221; puts you in a rather peculiar standpoint: either you are a convinced donor now. Or a convinced non-donor.   The time spent in the Dutch government speaking about the moral ins-and-outs of this initiative, could &#8211; in my opinion &#8211; better be spent on discussion about solving the problem. As BNN puts it: &#8220;The problem is real, the waiting lists are real and the three candidates waiting for a kidney are real. The show was a fake. We deliberately caused a stir to raise awereness for this big problem&#8221;. Mission accomplished as far as I concern. Pity the ones that still talk about the means and not about the goal. </p>

Last week eBay also launched â€œto goâ€ widgets that let publishers embed ebay listings into websites, although for now there are no affiliate payments tied to those widgets.</p>
